for KTTC's INDUSTRY MEMBER PLACEMENT
PROGRAM. Just

No matter
what your interests, groom, jockey, trainer, journalist, artist,
photographer, racetrack manager, etc. we'll try to connect you
with someone who can help you get real experience.
Of course,
if you're under 18 years of age you will need written parental
approval to participate in the program.

Colonial
Downs
Thanks to
the hard work and dedication of KTTC and Virginia HBPA Board
Member Diana McClure, Colonial Downs, in Virginia, is hosting
a group of KTTC members for internships this summer. The Virginia
HBPA is sponsoring the program.
On board
for the summer session at Colonial are Jackie Mitchell (PA),
Nikki Sherman (PA), Amy Schuver (NC), Ashley Gibson (AR) and
Katie Merritt (OK). The girls work in various departments at
the track including publicity, racing, veterinarian, marketing,
etc. and attend the Groom Elite program for hands-on experience
with horses.
The program
began last year on a limited basis and is expected to grow in
the coming years.
