At various times throughout the year KTTC honors an outstanding member with the Member of the Month Award. This honor goes to a member of the organization who has performed distinguished work in the field of Thoroughbred racing. The honoree receives a commemorative plaque from KTTC and is archived on the KTTC web site as an example of racing's talented young fans.

KTTC Member of the Month February 2003

Project coordinator and Virginia HBPA board member Diana McClure lauded Jackie for her contributions to the Colonial Downs program which included duties such as the compilation of various racing department statistics, and the coordination of group activities. Jackie exhibited outstanding personal and organizational skills and proved to beÝthe "mainstay" of the group.

Mitchell has been a KTTC member for several years and has attended a number of Road Trips.ÝShe helped organize a local trip to Philadelphia Park in '01.
