At various times
throughout the year KTTC honors an outstanding member with the
Member of the Month Award. This honor goes to a member of the
organization who has performed distinguished work in the field
of Thoroughbred racing. The honoree receives a commemorative
plaque from KTTC and is archived on the KTTC web site as an
example of racing's talented young fans.

Fitzpatrick
Kids
to the Cup member Ashton Fitzpatrick realized her dream of
riding race horses. Unfortunately, she was badly injured in
a racing accident. Her bones, ligaments and tendons healed,
Fitzpatrick returned to the saddle and now rides at Laurel
Park in MD. She detailed her rise and fall from the saddle,
as well as her road to recovery on the KTTC web site in a
moving article full of hopes, dreams and a solid dose of reality.
