Each month KTTC honors a member who has performed distinguished work in the field of Thoroughbred racing. The honoree receives a commemorative plaque from KTTC and gifts that have been contributed to the organization from various sectors of the Thoroughbred racing community.

KTTC members Justine McCabe and Emily Hufford recently represented the organization at a seminar sponsored by California Thoroughbred Breeders at Harris Ranch. The young women spoke on behalf of Kids to the Cup and enlightened the attentive gathering of horse owners and breeders about the goals and accomplishments of the one-year-young charitable corporation.

In addition to lecturing the group, the girls enjoyed a fun and educational weekend at the seminar and attended every workshop and presentation. They also were treated to a private tour of host Harris Ranch and learned the inside story on running a large farm.

Justine spent the summer grooming horses and a journal of her experiences was published at www.stablegate.com and is reprinted in the Look Here section of this web site. Emily is quite an accomplished writer and examples of her work are also in the Look Here section.

These fine members of KTTC symbolize the heart and spirit of the organization they and are being honored for their accomplishments.
