The click of a mouse
My whole life had changed
I never imagined a life so full
Of wonderful people
And friends so kind
One racetrack led to another
Another that changed my life
More than any other experience
Days of editing
Hours of prepping
At lasts a hopefully perfect paper
Weeks later full of impatience
I read a letter
I’ve officially won
Excitement grew enormous
Unbearable at times
I’d actually won my destiny
Three days of racing
Three days of Santa Anita
Three days of Kids to the Cup
Before long I had meet my "crowd"
My crowd is KTTC
I knew my whole life had changed
